Ducks’ Corey Perry is out indefinitely with ankle injury

Corey Perry was injured Tuesday night and will miss the remainder of the season, coach Bruce Boudreau announced Tuesday.

Perry was limited to just eight practices this season due to the ankle injury, but it was not as bad as initially feared.

“I’ve seen the pictures of Corey, and I was kind of expecting the worst,” Boudresque said.

Perry, who started the season as the Ducks’ No. 1 running back, has been out of the lineup since Jan. 10. “

He’s got a really good ankle, so we have some flexibility to make the best decisions for him.”

Perry, who started the season as the Ducks’ No. 1 running back, has been out of the lineup since Jan. 10.

He was limited last season with a torn meniscus, then was cleared to return to action this season.

The Ducks went 9-3 last season before missing the playoffs by two games.
